- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat and cook the chopped onion until soft and translucent.
- Add minced garlic and cook for about one minute until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper, mixing well to coat the meat.
- Add diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and kidney beans, then stir until everything is well combined.
- Reduce heat to low and let the chili simmer for 30 to 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed before serving warm.
