Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons gelatin
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup yogurt (optional)
- Chocolate for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the hulled and sliced strawberries with the sugar. Blend until smooth, creating a vibrant strawberry puree.
- In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the water and allow it to sit until it becomes spongy, about 5 minutes.
- Heat the gelatin mixture in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds until dissolved, and mix this into the strawberry puree.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Gently fold the strawberry mixture into the whipped cream until uniform. If using yogurt, fold it in now.
- Pour the mousse into dome-shaped molds and refrigerate for at least 4 hours until fully set.
- Carefully remove the mousse from the molds, garnish with chocolate if desired, and serve.
