Description

This pickle margarita is a pickle lover’s dream! Full of sweet and spicy flavor, and a chamoy and Tajin seasoned rim, this mocktail or cocktail is the perfect treat for a summer BBQ, girl’s night, or just for fun!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz pickle juice
  • 1 oz non-alcoholic tequila or regular tequila
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 0.5 jalapeno or regular simple syrup (optional)
  • sparkling water
  • tajin and chamoy for rim
  • Gherkin Pickles
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup allulose or sugar
  • 12 jalapeno peppers (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Combine the allulose or granulated sugar, water, and jalapeños in a small saucepan. Stir until everything is combined.
  2. Warm over medium-low and heat until the sugar is completely dissolved. This process takes about 5 minutes.
  3. Pour the sugar mixture through a sieve into a mason jar or jar of choice.
  4. Cover with a lid and refrigerate until cool. Throw away the jalapenos or add them to your mocktail.
  5. To a cocktail shaker, add pickle juice, non-alcoholic tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake vigorously for 20 seconds.
  6. Dip the rim of the glass into a shallow dish of chamoy or hot honey, then dip in Tajin seasoning or salt.
  7. Pour the contents of the cocktail shaker into a cocktail glass or margarita glass over ice cubes and top off with sparkling water. Garnish with pickles.
