Description

Boston Cream Pie Cheesecake is a rich layered dessert combining creamy cheesecake, silky vanilla pastry cream, and glossy chocolate ganache over a buttery graham cracker crust.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup prepared vanilla pastry cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until combined, then press firmly into the bottom of the pan.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Mix in vanilla extract and sour cream until fully incorporated.
  6. Pour half of the cheesecake batter over the crust.
  7. Spoon vanilla pastry cream evenly over the batter layer.
  8. Top with remaining cheesecake batter and smooth the surface.
  9. Bake for 50–60 minutes until the center is slightly set but still slightly jiggly.
  10. Turn off oven and let cheesecake cool gradually, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  11. Heat heavy cream until hot but not boiling, then pour over chocolate chips.
  12. Let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth ganache forms.
  13. Spread ganache evenly over chilled cheesecake.
  14. Slice and serve chilled.
