Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  3. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  4. Stir in the melted butter, blending it well with the mashed bananas.
  5. Mix in the granulated sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together the baking soda, salt, and flour.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Avoid over-mixing.
  8. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  9. Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  10. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes. Then, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
