- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk, then let the mixture sit for 2 minutes to soften.
- Add the ground beef, chopped onion, eggs, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and 1/2 cup ketchup. Mix gently until everything is just combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan or on the baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, stir together 3/4 cup ketchup, brown sugar, and yellow mustard until smooth.
- Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 55 to 65 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
