- 20 wonton wrappers
- 1 cup ground pork
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt to taste
- White pepper to taste
- 1 cup chopped baby bok choy
Instructions
- Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, combine ground pork, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and white pepper. Mix well.
- Fill the wontons: Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of a wonton wrapper. Moisten edges with water, fold into a triangle, and press to seal. Repeat for all filling.
- Boil the broth: In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a gentle boil over medium heat.
- Cook the wontons: Carefully add wontons to the boiling broth. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
- Add bok choy and finish: Add chopped baby bok choy and simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in soy sauce and sesame oil. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, use finely chopped mushrooms and tofu as a filling substitute.
- Wontons can be frozen before cooking for future use.
