Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together warm water, honey, and active dry yeast. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- Incorporate Oil & Salt: Mix in olive oil and salt into the foamy yeast mixture.
- Create the Dough: Gradually add whole wheat flour, stirring until you achieve a soft dough.
- Knead the Dough: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 6-8 minutes.
- Let it Rise: Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour.
- Punch it Down: Gently punch down the risen dough to release air.
- Shape the Loaf: Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Second Rise: Cover the pan and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake to Perfection: Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
