Ingredients
- Veal Cutlets: 4 pieces
- Italian Breadcrumbs: 1 cup
- Eggs: 2, beaten
- Marinara Sauce: 2 cups
- Mozzarella Cheese: 1 cup, shredded
- Parmesan Cheese: 1/2 cup, grated
- Olive Oil: for frying
- Fresh Basil: for garnish
Instructions
- Pound the veal cutlets to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
- In a shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. In another dish, whisk the eggs.
- Dip each veal cutlet into the egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the veal for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in a baking dish.
- Place the fried veal cutlets on the sauce, then spoon more marinara sauce over each cutlet. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve with pasta or your preferred side dishes.
