  • 1 turkey sausage patty
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 slice cheddar, Swiss, or pepper jack cheese
  • 1 tsp butter or olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: Spinach, tomato slices, avocado, or a light spread of hot sauce.

Instructions

  1. Toast the English muffin until golden and crisp.
  2. Cook turkey sausage patty in a skillet over medium heat for 3–4 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter or olive oil. Cook egg to your preference (fried, over-easy, or scrambled). Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Place cheese on the hot sausage or egg to allow it to melt slightly.
  5. Assemble sandwich: bottom muffin half, sausage patty, egg with melted cheese, and any optional toppings. Add the top half and serve warm.
