- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp matcha powder
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup almond milk (dairy-free)
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup coconut oil (melted)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 2 tbsp almond milk
- 1 tbsp matcha powder
- 1 tbsp coconut oil (melted)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease the donut pan.
- Mix the almond milk and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl and let sit for 5 minutes.
- Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and matcha powder in a large bowl.
- Add sugar to the dry ingredients and stir well.
- Whisk together liquid ingredients until smooth.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently until just mixed.
- Fill the donut pan with batter, filling each cavity just over 3/4 full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool for 5 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
- Dunk half of each donut into the matcha glaze and allow excess to drip back.
- Top with decorations if desired and drizzle with plain glaze for extra sweetness.
