- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent rolls
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and crumbled, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the maple syrup and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Spread the sausage mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish. Top with the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into the baking dish, covering the entire surface.
