Description
This delicious meatball casserole combines homemade meatballs with a rich, creamy sauce and egg noodles. It offers a robust, hearty flavor that the whole family will love.
Ingredients

- ½ Onion chopped finely
- 2 Tbsp. Olive oil
- ½ tsp. Garlic powder
- 1 lb. Ground beef
- ¼ tsp. Nutmeg
- 1 Large egg
- 1 tsp. Salt
- ½ C. Breadcrumbs
- ½ tsp. Black pepper
- 1 Pint heavy whipping cream
- 2 ½ C. Egg noodles
- 1 ½ C. Swiss cheese grated
- 1 C. Beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 375 degrees.
- In a mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients for the meatballs with the exception of the olive oil. Knead with your hands until well combined.
- Form the meat mixture into evenly sized meatballs.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat.
- Sear the meatballs in the skillet until evenly browned and cooked through. Remove, and set aside.
- Add the broth, Worcestershire sauce, and heavy whipping cream to the skillet you cooked the meatballs in, and simmer until thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook the egg noodles, and drain well.
- Spread the egg noodles into the bottom of a well greased 9×13 baking dish.
- Top with the meatballs, then the sauce, and finally the cheese on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
