- 3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Unroll one pie crust and press into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, vanilla, and salt. Mix well.
- Spread the strawberry mixture evenly over the pie crust in the baking dish.
- Unroll the second pie crust and place it over the strawberry filling.
- Crimp the edges of the top and bottom crusts together to seal.
- Cut several small slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Brush the top crust with the egg wash.
