- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small yellow onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can flaky biscuit dough (8 count)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted (optional)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until softened.
- Stir in garlic powder, tomato paste, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer the mixture for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, then remove from heat.
- Preheat the oven to the temperature specified on the biscuit can.
- Flatten each biscuit into a 4- to 5-inch round using your hands or rolling pin.
- Add a spoonful of meat mixture in the center of each biscuit and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Fold over the dough and pinch edges to seal.
- Place sealed side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush with melted butter.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.

- These can be prepared ahead of time and frozen.
