Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Creole seasoning
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Let the butter melt and foam without browning.
- Add minced garlic and stir constantly for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 2 minutes without moving, then flip and cook another 2 minutes until pink and opaque.
- Sprinkle Creole seasoning, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper over the shrimp. Stir to coat evenly.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and remaining 1 tablespoon butter. Stir and let the sauce thicken slightly for 1-2 minutes. Adjust salt and spice as needed.
- Turn off heat and sprinkle chopped parsley over the top. Serve immediately over rice, grits, or crusty bread.
