Description
Sautéed shrimp infused with garlic and lemon flavor, perfect for a quick and tasty dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb shrimp
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 0.5–1 tsp salt
- 0.25 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 0.5 tsp paprika
- 0.5 tbsp parsley
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 0.5 cup white wine
- 0.5 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp vegetable stock or chicken stock
Instructions
- Start by heating the canola oil in a large pan over medium heat. Let it shimmer for a perfect sear, which takes about 2 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté until fragrant and slightly golden, about 1 minute. Be careful not to let it burn!
- Gently place the shrimp into the pan. Cook until they begin to turn pink, approximately 2-3 minutes per side.
- Squeeze in the fresh lemon juice, then sprinkle salt, crushed red pepper flakes, paprika, and parsley. Stir well to coat the shrimp.
- Add unsalted butter to the pan and allow it to melt completely. Continue cooking until the shrimp are fully cooked through, about 1-2 more minutes.
- In a separate pan, melt a tablespoon of unsalted butter. Add the white wine, lemon juice, and vegetable or chicken stock. Simmer until the sauce reduces slightly, about 3-5 minutes.
- Plate your succulent shrimp warm, garnished with extra parsley. Serve with the optional sauce on the side for dipping!
