  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth or stock
  • 1 tbsp chili paste or sriracha (optional)
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • Fresh herbs (cilantro or Thai basil) for garnish
  • Optional toppings: chopped peanuts, bean sprouts, green onions, fried shallots

Instructions

  1. Marinate thinly sliced beef in 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 clove minced garlic while preparing the broth.
  2. In a large pot, sauté onion, garlic, and ginger in a bit of oil until fragrant.
  3. Stir in peanut butter, soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and chili paste.
  4. Add beef broth gradually, stirring to combine, and bring to a gentle simmer.

  6. Cook noodles separately according to package instructions, then set aside.
