Description
This refreshing Watermelon Lemonade combines the natural sweetness of fresh watermelon with tart lemon juice to create a perfect summer beverage.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups fresh watermelon, cut into 1-inch cubes (peeled and seeded)
- 8 fresh lemons, juiced
- 1/4 cup simple syrup or liquid honey
- 4 cups water or sparkling water
- Ice, as needed
- Lemon slices, for garnish
Instructions
- Chop the watermelon into 1-inch cubes, removing the peel and any large seeds to ensure a smooth blend.
- Squeeze the juice from the fresh lemons, removing any seeds from the juice.
- In a blender, combine the watermelon cubes, lemon juice, and simple syrup or honey. Blend until completely smooth.
- Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large bowl or pitcher to remove pulp and create a smooth watermelon lemonade concentrate, yielding about 4 cups.
- To serve, combine equal parts of the watermelon lemonade concentrate and cold water or sparkling water in a pitcher filled with ice. Alternatively, pour 1/2 cup of concentrate per person over ice and top with water or sparkling water. Garnish with lemon slices as desired.
