Description
Red Velvet Trifle Cups are a decadent dessert made with layers of rich red velvet cake, a creamy pudding mixture, and fluffy whipped topping.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box Red Velvet Cake Mix (plus ingredients to prepare the cake based on the package instructions)
- 1 box Instant Vanilla Pudding (3.4 oz)
- 2 cups Cold Milk
- 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened at room temperature)
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
- 16 oz Cool Whip (divided)
Instructions
- Prepare the red velvet cake according to the package instructions in a 9×13-inch pan. Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Cut the cake into small cubes, saving a small portion for crumbling as a topping.
- In a small bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding mix with cold milk. Whisk for two minutes and set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and beat until smooth.
- Add the prepared vanilla pudding to the cream cheese mixture, stirring until fully combined. Gently fold in the Cool Whip until smooth.
- In individual cups, layer the red velvet cake cubes followed by the pudding mixture. Repeat the layers until the cups are full, finishing with a layer of pudding mixture.
