Description

Red Velvet Trifle Cups are a decadent dessert made with layers of rich red velvet cake, a creamy pudding mixture, and fluffy whipped topping.

  • 1 box Instant Vanilla Pudding (3.4 oz)
  • 2 cups Cold Milk
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened at room temperature)
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 16 oz Cool Whip (divided)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the red velvet cake according to the package instructions in a 9×13-inch pan. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  2. Cut the cake into small cubes, saving a small portion for crumbling as a topping.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding mix with cold milk. Whisk for two minutes and set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and beat until smooth.
  5. Add the prepared vanilla pudding to the cream cheese mixture, stirring until fully combined. Gently fold in the Cool Whip until smooth.
  6. In individual cups, layer the red velvet cake cubes followed by the pudding mixture. Repeat the layers until the cups are full, finishing with a layer of pudding mixture.
  7. Top each cup with the remaining Cool Whip and crumbled cake pieces. Optionally, garnish with fresh berries.
