- 1⅓ cups (170g) all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup (20g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 4 oz (113g) cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup (60g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Sprinkles
- Mini chocolate chips
- Candy hearts
Instructions
- Preheat to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 12-cup muffin pan.
- Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Mix in egg, vanilla, milk, and red food coloring.
- Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
- Divide dough into muffin cups and press to form wells.
- Bake 10–12 minutes. Press centers again while warm.
- Let cool completely before removing from pan.
- Beat cream cheese and butter, then add powdered sugar and vanilla.
- Pipe frosting into cookie cups and add toppings if desired.
