- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips or chunks
- 1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries (do not thaw if frozen)
- Extra dark chocolate chips
- A few raspberries for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Whisk bananas, melted butter, and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients just until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips. Toss raspberries with 1 teaspoon flour, then gently fold into batter.
- Pour batter into pan, smooth top, add extra chocolate if desired, and bake 55–65 minutes.
- Cool 10–15 minutes in pan, then transfer to rack to cool completely before slicing.
