  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips or chunks
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries (do not thaw if frozen)
  • Extra dark chocolate chips
  • A few raspberries for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Whisk bananas, melted butter, and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients just until combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips. Toss raspberries with 1 teaspoon flour, then gently fold into batter.
  6. Pour batter into pan, smooth top, add extra chocolate if desired, and bake 55–65 minutes.
  7. Cool 10–15 minutes in pan, then transfer to rack to cool completely before slicing.
