Description

  • 4 cups All purpose flour
  • 1 cup Pumpkin puree
  • ¾ cup Whole milk
  • ½ cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup Granulated sugar
  • ½ cup Brown sugar
  • 2 ¼ tsp Instant yeast
  • 1 Large egg
  • 2 tbsp Ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp Ground cloves
  • 4 oz Cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • Milk, for glaze

Instructions

  1. Warm milk and stir in yeast and 1 tsp sugar. Let sit until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine pumpkin puree, melted butter, granulated sugar, and egg. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add the yeast mixture to the pumpkin mixture and stir.
  4. Gradually add flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  5. Knead dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  6. Cover dough and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled.
  7. Roll dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  8. Spread softened butter over the dough. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon for filling.
  9. Roll dough tightly into a log and cut into even slices.
  10. Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  11. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  12. Bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  13. Prepare glaze: mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a little milk until smooth.
  14. Spread glaze over warm pumpkin cinnamon rolls before serving.
