Description

These Philly Cheesesteak Sliders with Ground Beef deliver all the savory, cheesy goodness of a classic Philly sandwich in bite-sized form.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (85% lean preferred)
  • 1 large yellow onion (finely diced)
  • 1 medium green bell pepper (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced or 1/2 tsp garlic powder)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 12 slider buns (Hawaiian or dinner rolls)
  • 68 slices provolone cheese (or Swiss cheese)
  • 4 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp oil (for sautéing)
  • sliced jalapeños, mushrooms, or pickled peppers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Dice onions and peppers, mince garlic, and prepare slider buns.
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onions and bell peppers, sautéing for 5–7 minutes until softened and lightly caramelized.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant, then add ground beef. Brown for 5–8 minutes, breaking apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until evenly combined and remove from heat.
  5. Place bottom halves of slider buns in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Spoon beef mixture evenly over buns and layer provolone cheese slices on top.
  6. Place the top buns over the cheese to complete the sliders.
  7. Combine melted butter and garlic powder in a bowl. Brush over the tops of the buns.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5–7 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
  9. Let cool for 5 minutes, slice along bun lines, and serve warm. Optionally, add jalapeños or hot sauce for extra flavor.
