Description

This one pot creamy garlic pasta is pure comfort food bliss—creamy, cheesy, garlicky, and made with just one pot.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups vegetable or chicken broth
  • 2 cups milk or half-and-half
  • 12 oz penne or your favorite pasta
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley or basil (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or deep skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  2. Pour in broth and milk. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Add uncooked pasta. Stir to prevent sticking and cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and liquid is mostly absorbed (about 12–15 minutes).
  4. Reduce heat to low. Stir in parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix until creamy.
  5. Garnish with fresh herbs and extra parmesan. Serve hot!
