- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, whole milk, and vanilla extract.
- Add sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon to the wet mixture. Stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
- In a small bowl, mix together the packed brown sugar, hot water, remaining 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
- Evenly pour the syrup mixture over the cobbler batter.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm.
