- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
- 1/2 cup tempura flakes
- 1/4 cup okonomiyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup Kewpie mayo
- Cooking oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare your veggies: Finely shred cabbage and chop green onions.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, combine flour and water; whisk until smooth.
- Add the good stuff: Fold in cabbage, green onions, and tempura flakes until evenly coated.
- Heat your pan: Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat with oil.
- Cook the pancakes: Pour batter into the skillet, forming circles about an inch thick. Cook undisturbed for 5 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip & finish: Flip gently using two spatulas and cook for another 4 minutes until both sides are golden brown. Drizzle with okonomiyaki sauce and Kewpie mayo before serving.
