- 2 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1.5 cups milk (can substitute with almond or oat milk)
- 1 large apple (diced (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Granny Smith))
- 0.25 cup maple syrup (can be substituted with honey or brown sugar)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 0.25 cup walnuts (chopped, optional for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the oats, milk, diced apple, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla extract, salt, and half the walnuts. Stir until everything is beautifully blended.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 8×8 baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining walnuts over the mixture.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and fragrant.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
