Ingredients

  • 1 large apple (diced (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Granny Smith))
  • 0.25 cup maple syrup (can be substituted with honey or brown sugar)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 cup walnuts (chopped, optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the oats, milk, diced apple, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla extract, salt, and half the walnuts. Stir until everything is beautifully blended.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 8×8 baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  4. Sprinkle the remaining walnuts over the mixture.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and fragrant.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
