Instructions

  1. Scoop Nutella: Using a spoon or a small cookie scoop, portion out 1 tablespoon of Nutella and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat until you have about 12-15 dollops.
  2. Freeze: Place the dollops of Nutella in the freezer for about 30 minutes to firm up while you prepare the cookie dough.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened unsalted butter, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 cup of brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in 2 large eggs and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Mix Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  6. Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips if desired.
  7. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
