  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs

  • pepper to taste
  • 1 can tomatoes (diced)
  • 1 cup chickpeas (cooked)
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ginger (grated)
  • 1 tsp harissa (or chili paste)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, cumin, coriander, paprika, minced garlic, egg, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides.
  4. In the same skillet, add diced tomatoes, chickpeas, vegetable broth, cinnamon, ginger, and harissa. Stir to combine.
  5. Return the meatballs to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
