  • 1 bell pepper, sliced

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine sliced chicken with soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and brown sugar. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated chicken to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
  4. Toss in the chopped green onions and sliced bell pepper. Stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Pour the slurry into the skillet, stirring constantly to thicken the sauce.
  6. Drizzle sesame oil over the mixture and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Once the sauce has thickened, remove from heat and transfer to a serving platter.
  8. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired for an extra touch of flavor and presentation.
