Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add grits and salt, reduce heat, and simmer until thickened.
  2. Stir in butter and cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp, paprika, cayenne pepper, lemon juice, and salt. Cook until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  5. Spoon grits onto plates and top with shrimp mixture. Serve immediately.
