Million Dollar Beef & Mushroom Bake is a creamy, savory dish that is perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 recommended)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced (cremini or baby bella preferred)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups cooked pasta or rice
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup cottage cheese (or ricotta)
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella, divided
- ½ cup grated Parmesan, divided
- Chopped parsley for garnish
- Jalapeño or diced green chiles for spice
- Spinach, kale, or grated carrots for extra veggies
- Gluten-free pasta if desired
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and mushrooms. Sauté 5–7 minutes until onions are translucent and mushrooms begin to brown. Add minced garlic and cook 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it into crumbles. Cook until no pink remains. Drain excess grease. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Stir cooked pasta or rice into the beef and veggie mixture until evenly coated.
- Spread half of the beef/pasta mixture in the baking dish.
- Dollop and spread the entire cheese mixture evenly over it.
- Top with the remaining beef/pasta mixture.
- Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and Parmesan over the top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let the bake rest 5–10 minutes before serving for easier slicing. Serve as-is or with a simple side salad and garlic bread.
