- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 jalapeño, sliced (optional)
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked and no pink remains, which should take about 5-7 minutes.
- Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the cooked beef, mixing well to ensure every bite is packed with flavor.
- Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully slice the hoagie rolls and place them on a baking sheet.
- Generously scoop the seasoned beef mixture into each hoagie roll.
- Top the beef with diced onion, diced tomato, shredded cheddar cheese, and Monterey Jack cheese.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Once out of the oven, sprinkle fresh cilantro and jalapeño on top.
- Before serving, spread mayonnaise inside the rolls.
