- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 Onion, diced
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 Bell Pepper, diced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) Diced Tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) Kidney Beans
- 1 can (15 oz) Black Beans
- 2 tbsp Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Cumin
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up into crumbles with a wooden spoon.
- Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the pot. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables soften.
- Stir in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Let the spices cook for about 1 minute to release their flavors.
- Add the diced tomatoes and both kidney and black beans. Stir everything together until well combined.
- Bring the chili to a simmer, reduce the heat to low, and cover. Let it cook for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Taste the chili and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
