Description

Classic British pork, apple, and sage stuffing balls that are crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, perfect for accompanying a roast dinner.


Ingredients

  • 3 slices white bread (crumbs)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 celery stalk, diced
  • 1 apple, grated
  • 1 tbsp fresh sage
  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 2 tbsp chicken broth
  • 1 lb pork sausage meat
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Pulse bread into crumbs.
  2. Sauté onion, celery, apple, salt, and pepper in butter (5 mins).
  3. Add sage and spices.
  4. Mix aromatics with crumbs and broth. Cool 20 mins.
  5. Preheat oven to 400ºF.
  6. Mix sausage into crumbs gently. Form 24 balls.
  7. Bake on lined sheet for 25-30 mins until browned.
