Description

Crispy Lumpia (Filipino Spring Rolls) you’ll crave every time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Minced Pork
  • 1/2 lb Prawns
  • 1 cup Carrot
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 cup Green Beans
  • 2 cups White Cabbage
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp White Pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 large Egg
  • 20 pieces Lumpia Wrappers
  • 2 cups Vegetable Oil
  • 1 cup Sweet Chilli Sauce

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine minced pork, chopped prawns, grated carrot, chopped onion, minced garlic, diced green beans, and shredded cabbage. Mix well until all ingredients are integrated.
  2. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, white pepper, and beaten egg. Stir until the mixture is evenly seasoned and slightly sticky.
  3. Lay a Lumpia wrapper flat on a clean surface. Place about 2 tablespoons of the filling near one edge, fold the sides in, and roll tightly while sealing with a bit of beaten egg.
  4. Preheat vegetable oil in a deep pan or wok to 170°C (340°F). Use enough oil to submerge the rolls for even cooking.
  5. Carefully add the rolls to the hot oil and fry in batches for 4-5 minutes, flipping occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the fried Lumpia from the oil and place them on a wire rack or paper towels to drain any excess oil before serving.
  7. Arrange the hot Lumpia on a platter and serve with sweet chili sauce or spiced vinegar for dipping. Enjoy the crowd-pleasing crunch!
