Description
Crispy Lumpia (Filipino Spring Rolls) you’ll crave every time.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb Minced Pork
- 1/2 lb Prawns
- 1 cup Carrot
- 1 medium Onion
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 1 cup Green Beans
- 2 cups White Cabbage
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
- 1/2 tsp White Pepper
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 large Egg
- 20 pieces Lumpia Wrappers
- 2 cups Vegetable Oil
- 1 cup Sweet Chilli Sauce
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine minced pork, chopped prawns, grated carrot, chopped onion, minced garlic, diced green beans, and shredded cabbage. Mix well until all ingredients are integrated.
- Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, white pepper, and beaten egg. Stir until the mixture is evenly seasoned and slightly sticky.
- Lay a Lumpia wrapper flat on a clean surface. Place about 2 tablespoons of the filling near one edge, fold the sides in, and roll tightly while sealing with a bit of beaten egg.
- Preheat vegetable oil in a deep pan or wok to 170°C (340°F). Use enough oil to submerge the rolls for even cooking.
- Carefully add the rolls to the hot oil and fry in batches for 4-5 minutes, flipping occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fried Lumpia from the oil and place them on a wire rack or paper towels to drain any excess oil before serving.
- Arrange the hot Lumpia on a platter and serve with sweet chili sauce or spiced vinegar for dipping. Enjoy the crowd-pleasing crunch!
