- 8 oz (225 g) milk chocolate chips
- 8 oz (225 g) white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup (60 g) crushed peppermint candies
- 1/4 cup (30 g) festive sprinkles (optional)
- 1/2 cup (50 g) mini marshmallows (optional)
- Pinch of sea salt flakes
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil or coconut oil per chocolate layer
- 8 oz glass jars for gifting
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and ensure jars are clean and dry.
- Melt dark chocolate with 1 teaspoon oil in 30-second microwave intervals, stirring until smooth. Spread half onto parchment and let cool for 10 minutes.
- Melt milk chocolate with 1 teaspoon oil, pour over the dark chocolate layer, and spread evenly. Sprinkle with crushed peppermint and let firm up.
- Melt white chocolate with 1 teaspoon oil, spread over the milk chocolate layer, and top with more peppermint, sprinkles, and a pinch of sea salt.
- Allow bark to set completely—about 1 hour at room temperature or 20 minutes in the fridge. Break into pieces once hardened.
- Layer bark pieces in jars, alternating colors and textures. Add marshmallows or sprinkles between layers if desired.
- Seal jars tightly, decorate with ribbon or twine, and add gift tags.
