Delicious Keto Baked Asparagus with Crispy Beef Bacon
Ingredients
- Fresh Asparagus
- Beef Bacon
- Olive Oil or Avocado Oil
- Sea Salt
- Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- Garlic Powder
- Onion Powder (optional)
- Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
- Fresh Lemon Juice (optional)
- Nutritional Yeast (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash the asparagus and snap off the tough, woody ends, then arrange them in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Drizzle 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil or avocado oil over the asparagus, then sprinkle with sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder if using. Toss to coat.
- Lay the slices of beef bacon on top of the asparagus in a single layer, or cut into smaller pieces and scatter them among the spears.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-18 minutes, until the asparagus is tender-crisp and the beef bacon is golden brown and crispy. Broil for an extra minute if you want the bacon crispier.
- Serve immediately, optionally squeezing fresh lemon juice over the top.
