Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken thighs (You can substitute with chicken breasts for a leaner option.)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (Freshly squeezed is recommended.)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons ground paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (Adjust to taste for spice level.)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Start by gathering all your ingredients. Chop the garlic and measure out your spices to ensure everything is ready.
- In a large bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, and spices (cumin, paprika, turmeric, coriander, cayenne, salt, and pepper).
- Add the chicken thighs to the bowl, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and let marinate for at least one hour.
- Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Once ready, place the marinated chicken on the grill or skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- After cooking, allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes to redistribute the juices.
- Slice the chicken into strips.
- Prepare your serving base, such as warm pita bread, rice, or fresh salad.
- Assemble your dish by placing sliced chicken on the serving base and adding toppings such as tomatoes, cucumbers, and tahini sauce.
