- 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup water (adjust as needed)
- Oil for brushing or spraying
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons chili sauce (such as sriracha)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch + 2 teaspoons water (for slurry)
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, and salt. Slowly whisk in water to form a smooth batter.
- Dip cauliflower florets into the batter, letting excess drip off. Arrange on baking sheet and lightly brush or spray with oil.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.
- Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine honey, chili sauce, soy sauce, and vinegar. Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens.
- Toss baked cauliflower in sauce until evenly coated.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if using. Serve hot.
