Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2–3 tablespoons milk (for icing)
Instructions
- Warm the milk slightly and mix it with sugar and yeast in a large bowl. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add melted butter, eggs, and salt to the bowl. Mix well. Gradually add flour and mix until a dough forms. Knead for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 to 1.5 hours.
- Roll the dough out on a floured surface into a rectangle, about 16×12 inches. Spread softened butter evenly on top.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle it over the buttered dough.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log, then cut into 12 even rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise again for 30–45 minutes until puffy.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 20–25 minutes until golden on top.
- While baking, make the icing by mixing powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle icing over warm rolls and serve immediately.
