Description
These Guinness Gravy Meatballs are a comforting and flavorful dish that’s perfect for a cozy family dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups Guinness stout
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, panko breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
- In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of oil over medium-high heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Transfer the browned meatballs to a plate.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Gradually whisk in the Guinness, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it thicken, about 5 minutes.
- Add the browned meatballs back to the skillet and gently stir to coat them in the gravy. Reduce the heat to low and let the meatballs simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
- Serve the Guinness Gravy Meatballs hot, garnished with fresh parsley. Enjoy!
