Decadent Guinness Chocolate Poke Cake That Will Wow You

- 1 cup Guinness stout
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt.
- Melt the butter and mix in the Guinness stout until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into your prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool for about 10 minutes, then poke holes in the cake every couple of inches.
- In a saucepan over low heat, combine heavy cream and semi-sweet chocolate, stirring until smooth and glossy.
- Pour the warm chocolate glaze over the poked cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
- Let the cake cool completely before slicing.
