- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry. Season both sides with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
- Transfer the seared chicken breasts to the baking dish.
- Place one slice of provolone cheese on each chicken breast.
- Combine the seasoned breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, and melted butter in a bowl.
- Evenly sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over each chicken breast.
- Bake uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes until the chicken reaches 165°F.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve hot.
