Ingredients

- 2 cups almond flour
- 1/3 cup Swerve Brown, packed
- 1 tbsp coconut flour
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 ounces cream cheese, softened (for frosting)
- 1/4 cup powdered Swerve Sweetener, or powdered erythritol (for frosting)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla (for frosting)
- 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream (for frosting)
- Water to thin frosting, as needed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix almond flour, Swerve Brown, coconut flour, cocoa powder, ground ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine cream cheese, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Add to dry ingredients and mix until combined.
- Turn dough onto a floured surface, shape into a disc, and cut into wedges.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
- For frosting, mix cream cheese, powdered Swerve, vanilla, and heavy cream. Add water to achieve desired consistency.
- Cool scones, then drizzle with frosting before serving.
