- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 small head cauliflower, chopped into florets (about 4 cups / 500g)
- 8 oz (225g) brown mushrooms, sliced
- 5 garlic cloves, finely minced
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)
- Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until the butter starts to bubble.
- Add cauliflower florets and sauté for about 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly browned and tender-crisp.
- Toss in the mushrooms and continue cooking for another 5 to 7 minutes until softened and lightly browned.
- Add minced garlic and chili flakes (if using), stir well, and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- If desired, sprinkle with parmesan and stir gently to melt.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving and enjoy warm.
