- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with the olive oil.
- Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side, or until shrimp turn pink and opaque.
- Stir in the remaining butter and lemon juice. Toss well to coat the shrimp in the sauce.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
