- 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread, halved lengthwise
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced (or 1½ teaspoons garlic powder)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (or 1 tsp dried)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese or shredded mozzarella
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt until well combined.
- Spread the garlic butter evenly over both halves of the bread.
- Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are golden and crispy.
- For extra crispiness or cheesy topping, broil for an additional 1–2 minutes (watch closely).
