  • 4 (6-ounce) beef tenderloin steaks
  • 2 tablespoons Irish whiskey
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary, leaves removed and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the steaks and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, or until a nice crust forms.
  3. Deglaze the pan with the Irish whiskey, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  4. Add the minced garlic and chopped rosemary to the pan. Baste the steaks with the whiskey-butter mixture for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove the pan from heat and let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before serving.
